Amroha: A gruesome murder on National Highway-9 in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district has shocked the region. A young man identified as Akshit Vishnoi, was allegedly lured from his home, brutally beaten, and thrown onto the highway, where he was crushed under a speeding truck. The horrific incident occurred in the Gajraula police station area and was captured on CCTV.
According to the victim’s father, Kuldeep Singh, Akshit had a long-standing rivalry with a man named Sonu Kashyap. On the fateful day, he was called to Naipura by an acquaintance, Dharmendra, under the pretence of a conversation. Before the attack, Akshit stopped at a roadside dhaba for a cold drink. Moments later, a group of assailants, reportedly led by Kashyap, arrived and began assaulting him.
They dragged him to the highway, continued the brutal attack, and then threw him in front of an oncoming truck. The young man became trapped under the vehicle’s tire and was dragged for nearly 50 meters, resulting in his immediate death.
Devastated by the loss, Singh demanded justice for his only son. “These monsters have destroyed my life. I want the strictest punishment for them,” he said as quoted by India TV. The grieving father has filed a complaint at the local police station, urging swift action against the perpetrators.
The police have launched an investigation into the murder, analysing the CCTV footage and questioning suspects.
