There are only a few days left for the IPL to start and the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will start. This 18th season of IPL will start from 22 March. The final match will be played on 25 May. The first match will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens.

The founder who started the IPL was fired.

This grand and big tournament, Indian Premier League, was started by Lalit Modi. He tried his best for this. But Lalit Modi was fired after the first three sessions.

Lalit Modi was accused of irregularities in IPL financial matters. Due to which he was shown the way out of the league. Lalit Modi was accused in five major cases, including suspected auction of Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab teams and fraud in broadcast deal with Soni. Currently Lalit Modi has been declared a fugitive in India and he lives in Vanuatu.

Bhajji slaps Sreesanth

The IPL 2013 season was also in the discussion due to the exciting matches as well as a dispute between Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth. On the 12th day of the inauguration of this season, there was a match between Mumbai Indians (Mi) and Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab). Mumbai lost in this match.

After this, Sreesanth called Harbhajan Singh a ‘hard luck’. Hearing these words, Bhajji got angry and slapped Sreesanth in the middle ground. The matter increased further when he was seen crying. Bhajji was banned for the entire session due to his antics. When the BCCI again dropped him out of 5 ODIs. But now both have become good friends.

One year ban on Jadeja

In the IPL, franchisees keep offering attractive offers to players. Many players get caught in this trap, but many remain honest. Star all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja was involved in one such case. He was playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) at that time. But he was signing a contract to join Mumbai Indians without informing his franchise.

Rajasthan franchise and IPL Governing Council have been informed about this. Jadeja was then found guilty and he was banned for one year. After joining Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the 2011 season, Jadeja again became part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

3 players found guilty in match fixing-speculative

The 2013 IPL season was in the headlines due to spot fixing and betting scandal. Then in the fixing case, the names of three players of Rajasthan Royals S Sreesanth, Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila came out. A case was registered against all of them and they were found guilty.
