Hardik Pandya is gearing up for a fresh start with the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season after poor performance last season as skipper of Mumbai Indians team. In a recently concluded pre-season press conference ahead of IPL 2025 season, Pandya revealed that he has the backing of not one, not two, but three captains who will be supporting him throughout the season. Besides Pandya, Mumbai Indians also have captaincy options in form of Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rohit Sharma.

Speaking on MI having multiple captaincy options, Hardik said, ” I am lucky that I have three captains playing with me – Rohit, Surya and Bumrah. So yeah it adds more and more experience for me that if I require help, I know that there are three different minds who have led India for different formats and with so many years of experience. They always place an arm around my shoulder and are there when I need any help.”

Pandya’s statement highlights the strong leadership group within the MI team. With multiple captains to draw from, Pandya will have access to a wealth of experience and expertise, which will undoubtedly help him make informed decisions on the field.
