A 49 -year -old engineer crashed while crossing the road. The incident took place last Thursday night. He was declared brain dead on Friday night due to serious head injuries. His family then allowed organ donation. Accordingly, on Saturday evening, his heart, kidneys and eyes were taken out and taken to the concerned hospitals through the Green Corridor.
A 62 -year -old woman suffering from kidney disease for a long time was transplanted at a hospital in Pune. Hospital sources said that the traffic police and the Hadpasar police have made arrangements to send the organs to various hospitals and the zonal transplant coordination committee Pune has taken over the entire system, which has made this task easier.
