Sunita Williams and NASA News: If you go to Earth for a few hours and you have to stay there for several days, then how will you feel? When astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore visited the space station 400 km from Earth for only 8 days. He had to stay in his place for 9 months. According to the US space agency NASA, both astronauts are being brought back to Earth. The spacecraft has reached Florida after a 17 -hour journey. Along with this, both astronauts have stepped on Earth after 286 days.
On 19 September 2024, Sunita Williams will celebrate her 59th birthday at the space station. On December 29, Wilmore also celebrated his birthday outside the earth. When Sunita Williams was asked, she said that she is missing her family and two dogs a lot. Both astronauts will be taken to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. His health will be examined here for several days. Only after getting the green signal of NASA, astronauts will be able to meet their families.
The crew of SpaceX landed into the sea with the help of parachute after entering the Earth’s orbit. Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore left for the international space station on 5 June 2024 from the Starlineer spacecraft of American aerospace company Boeing. They reached the space station, but the leakage of helium gas started from the spacecraft.
Additionally, the threster that controlled the direction also led to a technical fault. When the spacecraft approached the International Space Station, it also faced difficulty in joining the station. According to NASA, Williams and Wilmore had to stay at the international space station for only 8 days under the Crew-9 mission.
During the docking of the spacecraft, the engineers also repaired four out of five thrusters of the spacecraft, but NASA considered it dangerous to land humans on the spacecraft. Therefore, the Starlineer spacecraft returned without taking astronauts. Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore had no choice but to stay in space.
Crew Dragon-9 was launched at the international space station on September 29, 2024 to take them, but it was decided to keep both astronauts in space to avoid hindering research work. The situation was such that if both were brought back, only one astronaut would have survived at the space station. This increased the stay of both astronauts.
