IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians: There are only a few days left for the Indian Premier League (IPL) to start and Mumbai Indians have decided to hand over their first match to Suryakumar Yadav. It has been decided to hand over the captaincy of Mumbai Indians to Suryakumar Yadav in the first match of IPL due to a ban on Hardik Pandya.

Mumbai Indians will play the first match of the IPL 2025 season against Chennai Super Kings on 23 March 2025. Hardik Pandya will not be able to play this match as he is banned for a match. After this, Hardik Pandya will again captain Mumbai Indians from the second match. Significantly, the first match of IPL 2025 will be played in Kolkata on 22 April. However, the final match will be played on 25 May. The first match of the IPL will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Hardik Pandya gave information

Hardik Pandya himself had informed that Suryakumar Yadav has been given the captaincy for a match. He held a press conference on March 19 with the team’s head coach Mahela Jayawardene. In this, Pandya told that Surya is currently the captain of Team India’s T20 team. In such a situation, the decision to make him captain is correct in my absence.
