Tinder U: Dating app Tinder launched a new feature named ‘Tinder U’ in India exclusively for college students. The feature is designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for Gen Z students to socialise with comparable students on the campus.

How it works:

Students must verify their college email address (.edu,.ac.in, or.in) in the app before they can use Tinder U. Users can then personalise their profiles by adding clubs, interests, and college details, which makes it easier to locate compatible matches.

Tinder U allows students to:

Connect with friends from their university and local colleges

Share their graduation year and major to initiate conversations with classmates

Send a ‘Like’ or ‘Super Like’ to someone they meet on campus

According to the media reports, Aditi Shorewal, Tinder’s India Communications Lead said, “Tinder U gives Gen Z a secure and welcoming environment where real connections occur as organically as running into someone interesting in the library or in the hallway.”

Tinder U is now available to students on universities and colleges in India, offering college students a platform to interact, socialise, and form connections.
