India Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar has once again told his mind to West i.e. Western countries. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke on the need to establish an international system. Additionally, he once again attacked the double standards of western countries. He said that the way governments work to maintain law and order in their countries, it should be the same at the global level.

“Kashmir dispute arose due to hypocrisy”

Jaishankar gave an example of the hypocritical policy of Western countries, especially in cases related to Global South, how the attacks or infiltration by Pakistan on Indian land is converted into regional dispute by Western countries. Jaishankar objected to the attitude of Western countries on the Kashmir issue. He said that India’s Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been under illegal occupation of foreign forces for a long time. In 1947, two months after India’s independence, Pakistan attacked and captured parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. At the same time, China captured the region in the 1950s and 1960s.

Who is the criminal in the eyes of Jaishankar?

He also talked about the changing trend of Western countries in Afghanistan’s turbulent political scenario. This is the result of the upliftment, collapse and resurrection of the Taliban in the last few decades. Jaishankar emphasized the role of Western countries in turning Pakistan’s aggression on Kashmir into diplomatic dispute. He said, ‘We went to the United Nations about an attack. It turned into a dispute… The attacker and the victim were considered equal. Who were the guilty side? Australia, Canada, Belgium, Britain and America.

How can garbage be washed on Kashmir issue?

Pakistan completely dismissed the Kashmir issue with the name of Western countries. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar pointed to hypocrisy in international diplomacy, saying that countries like Australia, Canada, Belgium, Britain and America are involved in this misunderstanding. He reminded how India’s appeal in the United Nations was also condemned equally. While the real attacker was Pakistan.

He also took a sarcasm on the Taliban issue.

Commenting on Afghanistan, Jaishankar also criticized the inconsistent stand of western countries. Pointing to a contradictory situation, he said that the Taliban leaders who were welcomed in Doha and Oslo talks are now being condemned for the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan. He quipped on how the Taliban, who was once considered extremist, now wears suits and tie. Nevertheless, he is seen as a serious international concern. Jaishankar’s comment indicates the ongoing contradiction in global politics, where nations often try to hide unresolved issues under diplomatic cover.
