Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Inaugurates MIST Submarine Cable System, Boosting India’s Data Communication Infrastructure | X @Dev_Fadnavis
Mumbai: The Myanmar-Malaysia-India-Singapore (MIST) submarine cable system, which is being rolled out in phases, is set to greatly enhance India’s data communication infrastructure. This advancement is expected to fuel innovation in artificial intelligence (AI) and technology, driving the country’s digital growth to new heights, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Speaking at the ‘NTT Data – Gateway to the World’ event at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Fadnavis inaugurated the submarine cable system by pressing a digital button. He announced that the service would be activated in phases.
NTT Data president and CEO Abhijit Dubey also had an informal discussion with Fadnavis during the event. ‘NTT Data – Gateway to the World’ is an initiative in digital transformation and IT services. NTT Corporation and NTT Data, leading Japanese IT service companies, specialise in data management, cloud solutions, AI, and cybersecurity, working on cutting-edge technologies.
