New Delhi: In the podcast of Lex Freedman, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said about India-China relations, “The only option for the two countries is to dance together elephants and dragons.”
Regarding these creative statements of Prime Minister Modi, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Linga said, “My country has paid attention to Modi’s statements and we appreciate him.”
The Prime Minister further said that if you see the historical record, then you will know that India and China have learned a lot from each other for centuries. Together, the two have also worked for the good of the world, and India has also made a huge contribution to the good of the world. At one time, India and China had a joint stake in global GDP about 50 percent of the total world product. I believe that our relations are very strong and our cultural relationships are centuries old.
Along with this, the Prime Minister also admitted that there are some differences between us, but those differences should not become a form of opposition between us. Our cultural relations are 200 years old. The two countries have also influenced each other’s social structure and have contributed to continuous progress of mankind.
Speaking of relations with Pakistan, the Prime Minister said, “We extended a friendly hand towards him and whenever we demanded peace, we only got betrayal and struggle.”
