BMC Contractors Fail To Clear Debris After Road Work Near Hinduja Hospital, Mumbaikar Highlights Issue On X | X|@mashrujeet

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has left debris after working on road construction. This issue came to light when a user on X highlighted it in a post on March 16. The problem is located in Khar West, near Hinduja Hospital. According to the user, the debris on the road is causing traffic jams, leading to delays for ambulances and patients.

In the post, the user mentioned, “Hello BMC, this is the situation of a lane outside a tertiary care hospital in Mumbai. Your contractors have not picked up the debris and have blocked the road with slow-paced work near Hinduja Hospital, Khar West.” He also added, “There’s a traffic jam, and vehicles, ambulances, and patients have to wait to enter this lane. Please spare the patients needing emergency care. Clear this and speed up the work.”

The post was made by the account @mashrujeet, and the user’s name was Jeet Mashru. As noted by the user, debris is causing delays for patients due to traffic jams.

BMC commented on the post by saying “We regret your inconvenience. We have intimated mybmcWardHW to attend this”.

The user also mentioned the illegal parking by saying “You guys please remove all the illegally parked vehicles in the lane near the hospital buildings. That is under your purview”. BMC reverted on the issue and said, “We have informed Bandra Traffic Division for the necessary action”.

The user is also requesting to the authorities that the situation be resolved as quickly as possible, as they are experiencing issues because of it. Additionally, he is urging BMC to expedite the road construction work near Hinduja Hospital in Khar West.
