India has always been the land of Sarva Dharma Sambhav, where all religions are given equal respect. But some radical political forces try to spoil this communal harmony. Despite this, an example has come out from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, which gives the message of love and brotherhood to the country.

Here on the same place in Awadhapuram Colony, the Muslim community organized Roja-Incornament and the Hindu community organized Shiv Aarti on the same day. The people of both religions carried forward the unique tradition of religious unity and proved that the basic basis of India’s culture is harmony and brotherhood.

Ramadan and Shiv Aarti together: Example of communal harmony

Rosa-iftar and Shiva Aarti took place simultaneously during this Ramadan at Shiva Vatika Park in front of Baba Avadeshwar Nath Temple located in Awadhapuram Colony of Lucknow.

Shiva Vatika, a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity,

🔸 Shiva Vatika was named by a Muslim person.
🔸 Muslim community also contributed to the construction of the temple.
🔸 Shiv Aarti was organized soon after the Rosa Ifteer was organized.
🔸 Both Hindu-Muslim communities took part in this entire initiative.

Rajesh Tiwari, president of Awadhapuram Welfare Society, said that the event is not just one day but part of the tradition of mutual brotherhood that has been going on for years.

People of Muslim community join Aarti after Iftar

This was not the first time in this colony living in Awadh’s Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb.

What happened in this event?

Iftar was organized in the park for Rojedars in the Pak month of Ramadan.
After Iftar and Namaz, people of the Muslim community also attended the Shiv Aarti.
Pandit Umesh Mishra led Shiv Aarti.
Society Secretary Arif Ali Siddiqui described the event as a unique example of brotherhood.

They said,
“Some people may be surprised to see that Rosa-Ipar and Shiva Aarti are happening in one place, but Awadhapuram has been playing this brotherhood for hundreds of years.”

Muslim brothers take part in Hindu festivals too

This is not limited to Ramadan only. The Muslim community also plays active participation in the festivals of Hinduism.

🔹 People of Muslim community serve in large Mangal Bhandare.
🔹 Muslim brothers also cooperate in the awakening of Dussehra and Mata Rani.
🔹 Muslims also made economic and shramdaan in the construction of the temple.

Rajesh Tiwari says,
“We have always considered each other’s happiness and festivals to be our own. This brotherhood is our real identity. “

“Religion does not teach hatred with each other”

This unique example of Hindu-Muslim unity in Awadhapuram proves that India’s real power is its brotherhood.

Society Secretary Arif Ali Siddiqui said,
“We are all made of the same soil. When we can get this park for Roja-Iftar, can’t we join the Shiva Aarti of our Hindu brothers? “

He further said that this event gave a message to the whole country that religion is not to break a person but to connect.
