In Hathras, Professor Rajneesh, the Geography Department head at PC Bagla PG College, has been accused of recording explicit videos of female students, which he himself filmed on his mobile phone. About 59 such videos have been found. A police investigation has revealed that some of these videos have also been uploaded by him on pornographic websites, as per a report by the Hindi news channel Aaj Tak. The professor has been suspended after an FIR was filed against him for allegedly sexually exploiting female students.

Professor Rajneesh used to manipulate female students by promising to increase their exam scores and help them secure jobs. The professor recorded videos of the students himself using his mobile phone, as reported by Amar Ujala.

The police are currently searching for the accused professor. The district administration has formed three teams to investigate the matter. Circle Officer Yogendra Krishna Narain stated that the police registered an FIR against Professor Rajnish on March 13, following an anonymous complaint accusing him of sexually exploiting women.

The FIR was filed under BNS sections 64 (2) (rape), 68 (sexual intercourse by a person in authority), and 75 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty). A detailed investigation is underway, and the police are also trying to trace the anonymous complainant. Pradeep Kumar Bagla, the secretary of Seth Phool Chand Bagla PG College, Hathras, suspended the professor after the FIR was filed. The accused professor claimed that he had been facing such allegations for the past 18 months, with several investigations already conducted, as reported by news agency ANI.

In the letter to the Women’s Commission and other senior officials last week, the complainant stated that the professor engages in obscene acts with women, exploits them, and records their videos. The complainant alleged that she had previously filed a complaint about this, but no action had been taken.
