A major theft has occurred at a mobile and electronics showroom located on Kailsa Road, near the Amroha Rural police station. The thief escaped with cash, mobile phones, and goods worth lakhs of rupees. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media.
Showroom owner Bhagwat Singh discovered the theft in the morning while opening the shop. Local residents informed the police. Police and forensic teams arrived at the scene to investigate and examined CCTV footage.
The showroom’s CCTV footage showed a young man committing the theft. The accused was wearing a cap on his head. According to reports, he was armed with a knife and a pistol.
Based on the CCTV footage, the accused has been identified. Police have registered a case and are searching for the suspect.
In separate news, a thief targeted a police officer’s home in Aligarh Circle of Eta. According to reports, the family of the police officer stationed in Aligarh had gone to their village for the Holi festival. During this time, thieves targeted their locked house.
The thieves descended from the third floor of the house using a net. They broke open the house’s almirah and stole approximately 20-25 tolas of gold jewelry and lakhs of rupees in cash. When the family returned on Monday, they found the house’s contents scattered.
The police officer’s wife, Sarvesh Kumari, has filed a complaint at the Aligarh police station. Police have examined footage from nearby CCTV cameras, which showed a masked suspicious young man.
