Virat Kohli who joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) just two days back has began his preparations for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025 season. The IPL 2025 is all set to begin on March 22 with the opening fixture featuring RCB and defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens ground.
In a video shared by RCB, Kohli can be seen taking on throwdown specialists in nets session at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After a brilliant Champions Trophy, Virat looked in good touch in the nets, playing marvellous shots.
Kohli will be coming into the IPL 2025 season after finishing the Champions Trophy as the fifth-highest run scorer of the tournament with 218 runs from five innings at an average of 54.50.
He will be eager to continue his golden run for RCB as well for the third straight season. The former captain scored 600 runs in back-to-back editions and even won the Orange Cap for finishing as the highest run scorer with 741 runs in 15 innings at an average of 61.75 in 2024.
With Rajat Patidar taking the captaincy role, RCB will be hoping for Kohli to carry his cChampions Trophy form and start firing from all cylinders right from opening match as they search for their maiden IPL crown
RCB Prepares for grand event ahead of IPL 2025
