Mumbai: A case has been registered against the concerned teacher and college principal at Boling Police Station in Virar for burning the marksheet of 12th commerce. On 25 February, teacher Priya Rodrigues illegally brought this marksheet home for inspection. However, 175 of these marksheets were destroyed by fire in their house. The sensation spread after the incident of the marksheet’s destruction in the fire came to light. Finally, after 17 days, Maharashtra Secondary and Higher Secondary Board filed a complaint and registered a case.
The Marksheet Examination Office of the Commerce Branch of Maharashtra Secondary and Higher Secondary Board was handed over to the Principal of Utkarsh School and Junior College Mugdha Lele, Virar by the Marksheet Examination Office M-27. The batch of 175 and 125 marks for verification was handed over to the school teacher and supervisor, teacher Priya Rodrigues. They were expected to investigate this marksheet in the college. However, he brought this marksheet to his bungalow Godus villa on Nanbhat Road. Meanwhile, on 25 February, his house caught fire and with other materials, copies of 175 marksheets were burnt. The matter was stirred up as soon as it came to light. Education Minister Dada Bhusus has also ordered an inquiry.
Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Mumbai Division, Secretary of Mumbai Division Jyotsna Shinde-Pawar lodged a complaint with the Boling Police Station in this case. The police recorded the statement of the teacher concerned. Initial investigation has revealed that Principal Mugdha Lele and school teacher (regulator) Priya Rodrigues violated the rules and sent the marksheet home for investigation.

School Education Minister Dada Bhusus said that the 175 marksheets of the 12th Commerce Branch were burnt and their marks were also given. Students will not suffer any kind of educational loss and should not worry.
