How did Katal die?

Katal played a role in the 2017 RC bomb attack , In which innocent citizens were targeted. Apart from this, on 9 June 2023, Katal was also behind the deadly attack on the bus near Shiv Khori Temple in Reasi. Many people lost their lives in this attack.

Hafiz Saeed’s trusted ally Abu Katal was appointed as the Chief Operational Commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET). Under his leadership, the army has conducted several terrorist campaigns in Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from RaiC, Kattal was also involved in many other attacks. In January 2023, he played an important role in terrorist attacks in Rajouri and Dangri in Jammu and Kashmir, targeting citizens including children. The NIA included Katal in its charge sheet for involvement in these attacks.

Kattal was one of the most important commanders of Lashkar-e-Taiba, who carried out his activities with a khrata launch pad in Kotli district of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK). Katal played an important role in the infiltration of Lashkar terrorists in Rajouri and Poonch areas, in which he used drones to supply weapons and ammunition.
