Indore (Madhya Pradesh): On-duty police inspector Sanjay Pathak passed away during Holi celebrations in Indore. Inspector Pathak was assigned duty in Betma on Friday, during which he complained of chest pain.
He was then rushed to Bombay Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
According to information, Inspector Pathak originally belonged to Bhopal and was posted in Indore.
As soon as the news of his death spread, senior officials reached the hospital. After his sudden demise, the police department canceled the Holi Milan event scheduled for Saturday at the DRP Line.
Sanjay Pathak was a 1988-batch officer and was posted at the IG Office. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
CM Mohan Yadav expresses condolences
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav took to his official X handle and paid his condolences to the grieving family.
Sharing a video, the CM wrote, “A tragic incident has come to my attention…Yesterday, in Indore, Police Inspector Shri Sanjay Pathak ji passed away untimely due to a heart attack. This is extremely saddening. I pray to Baba Mahakal to grant peace to the departed soul and a place at His divine feet.”
