Asaduddin Owaisi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi targeted the central and Uttar Pradesh government for covering the mosques. He said, ‘Those who went to Pakistan were cowards. The brave are those who consider India as their homeland.

Owaisi’s statement on the issue of covering mosques

Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Why are Muslims being treated like a second -class citizen in their own country?” Someone says that if you are afraid, do not pray, sit at home. Some say that as mosques are covered, you should also cover your head. Some say that if we come to power in Bengal, we will throw Muslims out of Bengal. Hey brother, he was a coward who fled to Pakistan. Those who remained in India were rich in the prosperity of faith and considered India as their motherland and will continue to believe. People have started saying strange things.

Asaduddin Owaisi said, ‘Our self -respect is being taken away. It is being said that you are second -class urban. Remember, we will fight you democratically and you will lose. A Chief Minister is saying that you should offer Friday prayers at home. When have you become Allama? Now we have to learn religion from them or what to do at home? There is a mosque to offer prayers, the Constitution has given freedom of religious faith. We will go to the mosque and continue to offer prayers. Article 25 of the Constitution allows everyone to do so. I do not want to learn my religion from you. ‘

It is noteworthy that due to Holi and Ramadan being together, mosques were covered in many parts of the country so that mosques do not colore and there would be no communal tension of any kind. Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, has been a tense situation for several months. In such a situation, the mosques here were also covered. Similarly, mosques were covered in Ayodhya.
