Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Chhaava is already a blockbuster at the box office. The movie in its week one collected Rs. 219.25 crore. It did exceptionally well during its week two, and collected Rs. 180.25 crore. In week three, it did slow down, but still minted Rs. 84.05 crore, and finally, in week four, the movie collected Rs. 55.95 crore; taking the total to Rs. 539.50 crore.
Chhaava had surpassed the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 (Rs. 525.7 crore) in its fourth week itself, and entered the list of top five highest-grossing Hindi films. Now, the Vicky Kaushal starrer has entered its fifth week with a bang. According to Sacnilk, it has collected approx. Rs. 7.25 crore on its fifth Friday, taking the total to Rs. 546.75 crore.
So, now Chhaava has surpassed the box office collection of Pathaan. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer had minted Rs. 543.09 crore. With this, Chhaava is now the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film at the domestic box office.
It looks like the movie will easily surpass the box office collection of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial had minted Rs. 553.87 crore at the domestic box office. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if Chhaava will be able to beat Stree 2 and Jawan or not. Stree 2 had collected Rs. 597.99 crore and Jawan’s lifetime collection was Rs. 640.25 crore.
Chhaava’s box office collection has surprised one and all. The movie was expected to do well, but it has received a fantastic response. With this movie, Vicky enters the list of A-list superstars, and we are sure his fans are eagerly waiting for his upcoming projects.
The actor will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead role. He also has Amar Kaushik’s Mahavatar lined up which is based on the life of Chiranjeevi Parashurama.
