Auckland: A video of New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon palying with colours is being widely shared on the internet on Holi, one of India’s most popular festivals.

In the video, the PM is seen spraying colours at a large crowd using cloud gulal cylinder. The video is from ISKON Auckland and from February 2025 which has now resurfaced.

The video has gone viral on social media just days before Luxon’s visit to India, which is slated from March 16 to March 20.

The purpose of his visit is to enhance the bilateral cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment.

Notably, This will be his first visit to India as the Prime Minister. However, Luxon has repeatedly expressed his admiration for India and said, “I am a big fan of India… It’s a country I love, admire tremendously.”Luxon will also visit India’s financial capital Mumbai from March 19 to 20 before returning to Wellington.

Who Is Christopher Luxon

According to the official website of New Zealand govermnet, Christopher Luxon is the 42nd Prime Minister of New Zealand. Luxon is also the Minister for National Security and Intelligence and the Minister Responsible for Ministerial Services.

He entered the New Zealand Parliament in 2020 as the MP for Botany and was elected Leader of the National Party in November 2021.

Before entering politics Luxon worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Air New Zealand from 2013 to 2019.

Prior to joining Air New Zealand, Luxon worked 18 years working at Unilever, in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, USA and Canada.
