Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government, which is running in a conflict with the central government over the new frugality policy, has played a new bet. He has taken a big step by removing the insignia of the rupee from the state budget and placing the Tamil word in its place. This has created an atmosphere of dispute. The symbol of the rupee across the country is the official symbol of the budget, but now the Tamil Nadu government has changed it.
Instead, a letter has been written in the Tamil script. The important thing here is that this is the first time a state has changed the insignia of the rupee.
Uday Kumar Dharmalingam, a symbol of rupee in a ten rupee note, was made by Dharmalingam. Udayalingam is an educationist and designer by profession. His design was chosen from the five listed symbols. According to Dharmalingam, his design is based on the Indian tricolor.
Surprisingly, Udayakumar Dharmalingam is the son of N Dharmalingam, who was a former DMK party MLA in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. He created this design in 2010, which was officially adopted by the Government of India. Udayakumar Dharmalingam is a resident of Kallakurichi in Tamil Nadu.
This decision of the Tamil Nadu government has come at a time when there has been a political battle in Tamil Nadu over opposition to Hindi. Recently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin accused Tamil Nadu of imposing Hindi.
Posting on social media, Stalin said that many ancient languages have become extinct in the desire to establish the identity of integrated Hindi. Uttar Pradesh has never been a completely Hindi -speaking state. Today, many languages like Mundari, Marwari, Kudukh, Malvi, Chhattisgarhi, Santhali, Kurmali, Khoratha, Maithili, Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Vraj, Kumaoni, Garhwali, Bundeli etc. are struggling for their existence.
Regarding the decision of the DMK to put a Tamil language insignia in place of the Tamil Nadu in place of the Tamil Nadu budget to promote Tamil, BJP President Annamalai said, “I don’t know if the DMK is so foolish that he will reject the national symbol designed by his own former MLA’s son.” He alleged that DMK is preventing Tamils from learning Hindi as the third language. DMK has no objection to dubbing Tamil films in Hindi to earn money, but he has objections to Tamil learning Hindi. He objects to Tamil people learning languages other than English and Tamil. DMK wants to stop the development of Tamil people. The DMK does not want any Tamil national stage to play an important role. He wants to limit Tamils only to Tamil Nadu. This ban is a reflection of their mindset. The Center never talked about imposing Hindi as a third language. She is also learning Hindi from eighth grade. Hindi is also optional in this. In such a situation, the DMK is preparing a new land of language dispute to win the election.
DMK’s move dangerous: Nirmala
The creator of the rupee symbol refuses to get into dispute
– DMK wants to win elections by going against reality and provoking people’s feelings
Chennai: A few hours after the Tamil Nadu government released a new logo for the rupee in the state budget, Professor D. Uday Kumar of IIT Guwahati refused to participate in the linguistic dispute.
He said that it is a coincidence that his father was DMK MLA. He refused to say something else.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman strongly criticized the DMK government for taking such a step. He said that this step of DMK could have been postponed. He has taken this step to promote regionalism and provincialism. The DMK has taken this step amidst the ongoing dispute between the Center and Tamil Nadu over the implementation of the new education policy.
Sitharaman said that he is weakening national commitment in this way. This step is more than mere symbolism. He said that if the DMK had any objection, he should have objected in 2010 only when the insignia of the rupee was launched during the UPA rule. The reason behind this was that the DMK was part of the ruling alliance and is not today. He said that DMK wants to win the upcoming assembly elections by going against reality and provoking people’s feelings. For this, he is raising linguistic controversy.
