Mumbai Indians batter Tilak Varma introduced his teammates Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav in a special way as IPL 2025 looms. In a video uploaded on the social media platform of X, the left-handed batter described Pandya as ‘Kung Fu Pandya’, Suryakumar as ‘Surya Dada’ and so on.
Tilak Varma, who has emerged as a bright prospect for the franchise, made his IPL debut in 2022 and accumulated 397 runs in 14 matches at 36.09 alongside a promising strike rate of 131.02. He has also cemented his place in India’s T20I team, especially with his heroics in their recent T20I series wins over England and South Africa.

Meanwhile, the five-time champions had a forgettable IPL season last year as they finished at the bottom of the table with four wins in 14 games. Although all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been retained as captain, the franchise has replaced Mark Boucher with Mahela Jayawardene as coach.
