Anupamaa is one of the most loved shows on Television, and Rupali Ganguly starrer has been ruling the TRP charts. However, the show has also been in the news for a few controversies. There have been reports that Rupali takes casting calls for the show, and she also replaces actors in it. Now, during an interview with Hindi Rush, Rupali’s co-star, Rajesh Kumar opened up about these reports of the actress replacing actors in her show.
When Kumar was asked whether in TV industry lead actor can do casting of the show according to their choice, the actor said, “Har koi apna contact toh use karna hie chahega, main bhi karta hoon. Kisi film mein agar casting ho rahi and if I know someone related to someone, I definitely put in a word. But, not necessary that will turn into my favour.”
When further he was questioned about the allegations on Rupali for casting according to her in the show, and if she doesn’t want someone that actor is thrown out of the show, Kumar said, “Suni sunai batoon pe main vishwas nahi karta. But, Sarabhai mein toh koi aisa situation hie nahi bana tha ki koi casting ka or she must be thinking of opening a casting agency (laughs). No, I don’t think. I do not know so how can I comment on that and plus I am not in the television circuit. I don’t know where her set is. I know it is in film city, I have gone there, but if you ask me today where it is, I have to go and ask ‘Anupamaa ka set kaha hai?’.”
“Rupali se mile hue mudda ho jata hai aur jitna hum milte hai, hum yeh saare allegations pe baat nahi karte na. Hum toh apni duniya mein rehte hai. So, I don’t think I will be right person to say that. But, as a human, I love both brother (Vijay Ganguly) and sister. Rupali is a call away. Kahi baar aisa hota hai ke mera miss call courier se milta hai. 4-5 din baad call karegi. So, that’s fine,” he added.
Well, one thing that we cannot deny is that Rupali is one of the reasons why Anupamaa is loved by the audiences.
