The process of internal discord and disputes in Pakistan cricket continues. Recently, under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s team was ruled out in the early stages of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Since then, a round of allegations and counter-allegations between the players, coaching staff and the board started.

Now in this dispute, former Pakistan head coaches Jason Gillespie and Mickey Arthur have also come out openly. Gillyspi termed his successor Aqib Javed as ‘Joker’, while Mickey Arthur described Pakistan cricket as a ‘jungle’.

Jason Gilspie raging on PCB, Aqib Javed said ‘Joker’

Former Australian fast bowler Jason Gilppy was appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on a two -year contract as the head coach. However, in just 6-8 months, the dispute between PCB and coaching staff increased.

Meanwhile, Gillespi reacted sharply when Aqib Javed was made the new head coach of Pakistan. They said,

“I always thought that something is going on behind the curtain, which I was not aware of. And when Aqib was declared an interim coach, I was not surprised. It is ridiculous. “

Aqib Javed said while defending poor performance in Pakistan’s Champions Trophy,

“We have changed 16 coaches and 26 selectors in the last two and a half years. If you do this with any team in the world, then their performance will remain the same. ”

Gillespie was already suspicious of the policies of PCB, and now they openly exposed Pakistan cricket.

Mickey Arthur told Pakistan cricket ‘jungle’

Another former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur also jumped into this dispute. He said in an interview to TalkSport,

“Jason Gillespi is a great coach and a great person. Pakistan cricket kills its own feet every time. ”

He severely criticized PCB, saying that Pakistan remains disorganized despite having the best players, young talent and resources.

“I felt that when they signed Gilespi and Gary Kirsten, they were going in the right direction. But the machinery working in Pakistan cricket is constantly weakening it. ”

He also said that a special agenda is being run in PCB, which is weakening the coaching staff and players.

“Agenda is run in the media here, which also makes good coaches and players under pressure.”

He lashed out at PCB and said,

“This whole system is like a ‘jungle’, and I feel sad for Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie. He was deliberately weakened, and the players suffered the brunt of it. ”
