The National Team Male and Women’s Chess Championship was organized by the Gujarat State Union under the aegis of All India Chess Federation.
After the seventh and final rounds, the woman PSPB team won the title by scoring seven out of seven points. The Airport Authority finished second and Andhra Pradesh-A team finished third. Among men, the RSPB-B team won the title by winning seven points out of nine. Gujarat’s e-team in the women’s category was in the top 10 with three points. The winning players were honored with trophy and cash prizes by the All India Chess Federation Secretary and GSCA President Dev Patel, GSCA’s Bhavesh Patel and All India Chess Federation officials.
