Soundarya was a prominent name in the South film industry and in Hindi she had starred opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Sooryavansham. She passed in 2004 in a private plane crash. Now, after 21 years of a death, reportedly a complain has been filed against Mohan Babu and he has been accused of murdering the actress.
According to New 18 Kannada, a complaint has been filed in Andhra Pradesh’s Khammam district against Mohan Babu for his alleged involvement in the death of Soundarya. Reportedly, Soundarya and her brother were travelling to Karimnagar to attend a political campaign event for the Bharatiya Janata Party and Telugu Desam Party. The plane crashed and both of them passed away. According to reports, Soundarya was pregnant at that time.
The complainant, identified as Chittimallu, has claimed that the actress’ death was not an accident but murder and she was having a property dispute with Mohan Babu. The complaint alleges that Mohan Babu wanted to buy six acres of land of Soundarya and her brother in Shamshabad’s Jalpalli village, and they had refused it, due to which there was a rift between the them. Reportedly, post the tragic incident, the Shaakuntalam actor took the land illegally.
The complaint has been filed with the Khammam ACP and the Khammam District Officer, and the complainant has requested the government takeover the land and use it for public welfare like orphanages, military families, police force, or media. According to the report, the complainant has asked for police protection fearing that his life would be in danger.
Currently, Mohan Babu is busy promoting his movie Kannappa which is produced by him and he also has a cameo in it. The movie stars his son Vishnu Manchu in the lead role along with actors like Akshay Kumar, Madhoo, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prabhas.
