Apollena actress Aditi Sharma, who secretly tied the knot with Abhineet Kaushik in 2024, is reportedly headed for a divorce amid serious allegations. Abhineet has accused Aditi of having an extramarital affair with her co-star Samarthya Gupta, a claim that Samarthya has strongly denied. He called the allegations ‘baseless’ and ‘damaging’. He also made some shocking revelations about Abhineet.
During an interaction with Zoom, Samarthya, who is currently at his hometown, expressed his distress over the controversy, revealing that the accusations have deeply affected his family, particularly his father, who suffered a brain stroke two years ago. The former Splitsvilla contestant said that he is ‘mentally shattered’ because of the allegations.
“I have come to my hometown, and I’m not a very socially active person. My mumma showed me this news. We, as a family, have been mentally shattered a lot since morning because my father is also going through a health condition. He got a brain stroke two years back. So, you know, already there are so many challenges in our family,” Samarthya stated.
Dismissing Abhineet’s claims, Samarthya insisted that his bond with Aditi is strictly professional and friendly.
“After listening to this story, even I got shattered, and I’m a person who doesn’t allow much to affect me because these are very trivial things. But when something affects your family, it does take a toll. These are wrong allegations. We’ve never been caught, the way he is claiming. We are working professionals. We are actors. On-screen chemistry jo dikhti hai, log usi ko hi believe karte hain,” he clarified.
He added, “We are good friends, and we are always going to be good friends. And secondly, as a professional, when you work together 24/7, you become a family. It’s not just with her, it’s the same with the actor playing my father or elder brother.”
Claims of Aditi’s emotional breakdown on set
Samarthya also shared details of Aditi’s troubled marriage, claiming that she had broken down multiple times on set due to issues with her husband.
“We have seen Aditi emotionally break down on set. We have seen her crying, even our creative team has seen her crying. We used to ask her what happened, and she said, ‘My husband…’ because she just wanted to keep that private from the rest of the world. But with us, she has told us these things. He has come to the set too and even traumatised her. She said he has tortured and traumatised me.”
Shocking revelations about Abhineet
Recounting an uncomfortable encounter with Abhineet, Samarthya claimed that Aditi’s husband entered his makeup room without permission on his birthday, January 20.
“He came to my makeup room without my permission. And you can even realise that this is so incorrect. He came with this mentality of having a conversation, but I was not in a mood to carry out that conversation because I was mentally so tired and exhausted. He said, ‘I’m her husband.’ I said, ‘Great, mujhe pata nahi tha.’ I’m not much aware about that. I said good, we are just friends. As a human, if you see someone sad, obviously, you’ll go to that person and ask what’s wrong.”
Samarthya: Abhineet tried to control Aditi
Samarthya further accused Abhineet of trying to control Aditi, stating that she deserved to have her own space and independence.
“She’s a working professional. She’s an actor. Respect this, you need to respect someone’s space, boundary, and liberty. You cannot own someone like that. That guy is trying to take ownership of someone’s life. And that’s completely wrong. You cannot dictate someone’s life. Right? Like, this is my assumption.”
Samarthya also revealed that Abhineet had a problem with every co-star of Aditi, even with actors who played her father and brother on the show.
According to Samarthya, Abhineet disrespected Aditi’s mom too during an intimate dinner.
In an interview with India Forums, Abhineet made shocking claims, stating that he tied the knot with Aditi in November 2024 at their Goregaon residence in Mumbai and are now heading for separation. He revealed that Aditi insisted on keeping their marriage under wraps.
Further, Abhineet revealed that their marriage took an ugly turn after he caught Aditi having an extra-marital affair with his Apollena co-star, Samarthya.
