Veteran journalist Manoj Jalanawala has been appointed as the Chairman of the Konkan Divisional Accreditation Committee, as announced by State Accreditation Committee Chairman Yadu Joshi during a meeting held on March 9.

The meeting was organised by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations (Konkan Division) at the Special Committee Chamber of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Headquarters. It was presided over by Yadu Joshi, with several distinguished guests in attendance, including State Forest Minister Ganesh Naik, MLA Mandatai Mhatre, NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, and City Engineer Shirish Ardawad. Other dignitaries present included Dayanand Kamble (Secretary and Director of News and Public Relations, State Accreditation Committee), Hemraj Bagul (Director, Directorate of Information and Public Relations), and regional directors from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Nagpur.

The chairmanship position became vacant following the resignation of Shrikant Chalke due to medical reasons. After deliberations, the committee members unanimously selected Manoj Jalanawala as the new Konkan Divisional Accreditation Committee Chairman.

During the event, State Forest Minister Ganesh Naik honored Manoj Jalanawala with a felicitation ceremony. His appointment has been widely appreciated, with warm congratulations pouring in from across the Konkan division.
