Loksabha session: With the beginning of the second phase of the budget session, there was a huge uproar in the Lok Sabha on Monday on the issue of new education policy and triple policy. Union Education Minister Dhamendra Pradhan accused the Tamil Nadu government of misleading the public on the issue of education policy. On the other hand, the DMK also accused the minister of insulting Tamil Nadu and stopping money. The Union Education Minister withdrew his statement after DMK MPs protested against the minister’s allegations.

What was the matter?

During the Question Hour, the minister accused the DMK government of opposing the National Education Policy. He said that there was a time when the Tamil Nadu government was ready to sign an agreement on the National Education Policy of the Central Government. Some members came to us with the Education Minister of Tamil Nadu. He agreed. But some people are opposing it. Because he wants to become Chief Minister in future. The current Chief Minister is not honest towards the students.

The minister further said that we are allocating funds to Tamil Nadu. But he is not committed. They are ruining the future of students. They are deliberately doing politics. This is unfortunate. He is doing injustice to students. Their democratic rights are being curbed. The central government is working for all.

Statement withdrew

When the Union Education Minister made these allegations on the DMK, DMK MPs shouted slogans. MP Kanimozhi said, “Your speech has disturbed me.” Your words are rude. Take it back. DMK MPs never opposed the Trishag policy. On protesting by DMK MPs, the Education Minister said, “If anyone is hurt, I withdraw my indecent words.”

It is noteworthy that the issue of Trishag policy in the state has been under discussion for a long time. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s government is refusing to implement the Trishag policy. The state is being accused of imposing Hindi language. He has also accused the central government of not providing funds.
