New York/New Delhi: Hindus have been targeted once again in America. A Hindu temple was vandalized at a Hindu temple in Xino Hills, California and the controversy arose after the anti -India, anti -Narendra Modi and anti -Hindu slogans were written on the walls. The incident of Hinduphobia, which took place a few days before the alleged Khalistan referendum at Los Angeles, has raised questions on the safety of Hindus in the US. On the other hand, the Government of India has also demanded the Trump administration to increase the security of Hindu temples.

The Bochasar Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan (BAPS) temple at Xino Hills, California, was vandalized and the anti -India, anti -Prime Minister Narendra Modi and anti -Hindu slogans were written on the walls, BAPS organization informed about the incident and wrote on a social post on its official page. The organization also emphasized that they will never let hatred root out and will maintain peace and compassion.

The ‘Kohna’ organization, which works at the ground level for Hinduism and Hindu community in the US, said that there have been more than 10 incidents of attacks on Hindu temples in the US in the last two and a half years. Last year too, there was an incident of sabotage in the BAPS temple. Another such incident took place within 10 days of a similar incident at the BAPS temple in New York. Anti -Hindu slogans like ‘Hindus go back’ were written on the walls of the temple. India’s Foreign Ministry has strongly criticized the incident and demanded strict action against those involved in the incident. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said, “We have seen reports of sabotage at a Hindu temple in Shino Hills, California.” We have demanded that officials of local law enforcement agencies take concrete action against those responsible for these acts and provide adequate facilities to the places of worship.
