Keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections, the state Congress has decided to complete the appointment of BLA (booth level agent) at all booths by 31 March. This decision was taken in a meeting of District Presidents held at Sadaqat Ashram on Sunday.
In the meeting, State Congress in -charge Krishna Allawaru made it clear that the appointment of BLA at all booths will have to be completed as soon as possible. He warned that if this work is not completed by 31 March or only the food was done, disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned officials.

Why is BLA restoration important?
The initiative to form a committee at the booth level had already started under the leadership of State Congress President Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh.
To make this process effective, the district and block presidents were appointed afresh.
But due to the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, the restoration of BLA at all booths was not completed.
Now in view of the assembly elections, it has been directed to complete it fast.
Better performing districts received appreciation
The meeting was appreciated in the meeting where BLA restoration has already been completed.
Districts like Begusarai and Kaimur have already appointed BLA.
Other districts have been instructed to complete this work as soon as possible.
Electoral strategy also churned
Election strategy was also discussed in the meeting.
The problems of the district heads were heard and emphasis was given to provide necessary resources to them.
In the elections, a concrete strategy was considered to strengthen the Congress’ organization.
Secretary in -charge of AICC Shahnawaz Alam and Sushil Passi were also present in this meeting. Apart from this, senior leaders like Brajesh Pandey, Nirmal Verma and Rajesh Rathore, including presidents of 40 organizational districts of the state, also attended the meeting.
