Youth Dies In Road Accident On Four Lane NH
Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A 28-year-old man died in a road accident in Bamitha police station area late Saturday night. The victim, identified as Karan, son of Jhallu Adivasi from the village of Basari, was returning home from work at an event in Khajuraho.
According to reports, Karan was riding his bike when an unknown vehicle hit him near Basari on the four-lane highway. The collision led to Karan’s death on the spot.
The culprits fled the scene after the crash. Passers-by immediately alerted the police, and a team of cops rushed to the location. Upon arrival, the police sent Karan’s body for post-mortem at Chhatarpur. The vehicle involved in the accident is currently being sought by the authorities.
Bamitha police station in-charge, Ashutosh Shrutiya said the post-mortem of the deceased has been completed, and efforts are underway to locate the vehicle involved in the accident. The investigation is underway, the officer said.
RTO Seizes Bus And Ambulance In City For Violations

Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh): The Regional Transport Office (RTO) of Narmadapuram led by Nisha Chauhan, conducted an intensive vehicle inspection campaign in a major drive against traffic violations at Seoni Malwa Tehsil on Friday. The operation aimed to enforce compliance with transport rules, including tax payments, vehicle safety, and documentation.
During the campaign, a passenger bus (MP05P281) was found operating with a tax arrears of approximately Rs 2.6 lakh. The bus was seized, and the outstanding tax was promptly paid by the vehicle owner, followed by necessary challan. In addition, the inspection team checked 55 vehicles, discovering 15 that were violating traffic regulations.
These vehicles were penalised with fine of Rs 28,500. Furthermore, one ambulance (MP47DA0191) was found operating without valid documents. The ambulance was immediately seized and kept at Seoni Malwa police station for further proceedings.
Nisha Chauhan said RTO team was actively monitoring passenger, goods-carrying, and other vehicles. She urged drivers to adhere to transport rules for the safety and smooth operation of vehicles in the district. The campaign aims at promoting safer roads and ensure compliance of regulations.
