Another political journey has been announced in Bihar before the assembly elections 2025. After the end of the ‘Pragati Yatra’ of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, now Deputy CM Vijay Sinha has announced to take out the ‘Krishi Kalyan Yatra’.

After the budget session of the assembly is over, he will visit across the state and communicate directly with the farmers. Interestingly, Vijay Sinha has taken over as Agriculture Department a day earlier. Recently there were major reshuffles in the Nitish cabinet, in which he was handed over the Ministry of Agriculture with the Road Construction Department from Vijay Sinha.

During a conversation with reporters in his office in Krishi Bhavan, Vijay Sinha said-
“My journey program and its formal name will be announced after the budget session is over.”
“Through this visit, I will meet the farmers of Bihar in their work place, understand their problems and will put the plans of the Agriculture Department on the ground.”

The deputy CM said that his plan to the farmers of Bihar –
Physical,
Digital, and
By connecting with social infrastructure, the integrated development of agriculture is to ensure.

Strategy to help farmers?

Vijay Sinha said that the role of farmers in the country’s economy is important.
They told that –
75% of Bihar’s population depends on agriculture.
Of these, more than 90% are small and marginal farmers.
More than 80% of families are completely dependent on agriculture.

He said-
“It is a privilege for me that I have got an opportunity to serve these farmers of society.”
