Saud Shakeel slept in the dressing room during the match
The incident took place in the final of the Domestic President Trophy in Rawalpindi.
Saud Shakeel was playing for the State Bank of Pakistan team and was to bat at number five.
During the match, he slept in the dressing room and when his turn came, he did not reach the crease on time.
Due to this delay, the captain of the opposition team appealed for ‘Timd Out’, which was accepted by the umpire.
This was a rare incident in cricket history, as no batsman was out in Pakistan in this way.
How did four wickets fall in three balls?
Pakistan television team fast bowler Muhammad Shehzad was in tremendous rhythm.
He dismissed the first State Bank of Pakistan captain Omar Amin and then Fawad Alam on consecutive balls.
After this, Saud Shakeel was supposed to come to the crease, but he had taken more than three minutes.
The opposing team appealed to the umpire for ‘TimD Out’ and approved it.
After this, another batsman was dismissed on the next ball, causing four wickets in three balls.
Saud Shakeel’s time out: Angelo Matthews reminded
After this unique out of Saud Shakeel, cricket fans remembered the 2023 ODI World Cup, when Sri Lankan’s Angelo Mathews was ‘Timd Out’.
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan appealed against Matthews, when he could not reach the crease on time due to the helmet’s strap problem.
But Saud Shakeel’s case was more strange, as he slept in the dressing room and this delayed.
