Aurangabad: Massive Fire Destroys 5 Shops In Daulatnagar, Naregaon; No Casualties, But Huge Losses |
Five shops, including a scrap godown and wood stores in the Daulatnagar area in Naregaon in Aurangabad, were reduced to ashes due to the outburst of a sudden fire. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Tuesday. Nine fire tenders, with the help of nine water tankers, had to make strenuous efforts to extinguish the massive fire. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the fire incident, but the shops incurred huge losses to the tune of lakhs of rupees, the fire brigade sources informed.
The shop owners Amir Khan, Niyaz Ali, Ashfaq Ali, Amil Khan, and Ashok Bhalerao own a scrap godown and wood stores in the Daulatnagar area in Naregaon. On Tuesday, the fire brigade received information about the fire at around 4 am. The team immediately rushed to the spot, but the fire had already taken a massive form by then.
Fire-fighting squads from nearby areas called
As the fire was huge, the fire-fighting squads from Kanchanwadi, Cidco, Garware, and MIDC Chikalthana centres were also called. Under the guidance of Chief Fire Officer S K Bhagat, the squads started the work to extinguish the fire. They gained control over the fire after strenuous efforts of around three to four hours. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported, but the shopkeepers incurred huge financial losses. The reason for the outburst of fire is not known yet.
The fire extinguishing action was executed by Centre Officer A N Khandekar, Duty Officer Krushna Holbe, Ramesh Sonawane, L P Kole, Vinayak Kadam, Kiran Shelar, Madan Tathe, Praveen Pachlore, Bhagwat, Ajay Kolhe, Meenanath Zade, Kishor Koli, Prashant Gaikwad, Bhura Lal, and others.
