ICC Ranking: Indian star batsman Virat Kohli reached the fourth place in the ICC ODI batsmen on Wednesday after a winning innings of 84 runs against Australia in the Champions Trophy semi -finals.

While Kohli has benefited, captain Rohit Sharma has slipped two places to fifth place. On the other hand, Heinrich Klassen of South Africa has also moved forward to third place.

Shubman Gill remains on top

India’s vice -captain and opener Shubman Gill remains at the top while Babar Azam of Pakistan is in second place. Other Indians have also come up in the rankings of all -rounder and bowlers respectively.

Alphabets and Shami also benefit.

Akshar Patel has moved up to 13th position with the best career’s best 194 rating points in the latest all -rounder rankings of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Ajmatullah Umarzai of Afghanistan has replaced his compatriot Mohammad Nabi in this ranking.

 

Umarzai has a total of 296 rating points and has moved two places to the top ranking. Shami, who took eight wickets in the Champions Trophy so far, has climbed three places in the bowling rankings with 609 rating points to 11th position.

Matt Henry of New Zealand finished third.

New Zealand’s Matt Henry (649) has moved up three places to third in the list of bowlers. He is in the first place, followed by Mahesh Pratishna of Sri Lanka and Keshav Maharaj of South Africa.
