A YouTuber confused waiters by complaining to them about food quality and later offering them tip in cash. Wait, what? You might wonder who pays for bad food, but this man did. He initially raised concerns about the order served to him during his restaurant visits, then presented the staffers a good tip. The waiters were baffled when he handed them with money instead of asking for a waiver over alleged poor quality food.

Popular content creator Steven Schapiro was recording a prank video by visiting restaurants and ‘fake’ complaining about food or service. He raised concerns about the order only to trick the staff and note their response. He simply tested their way of handling customers when they complained and expressed dissatisfaction at the eateries.

As Steven dined at different places, he first claimed he didn’t like the food, only to see how the waiters respond to him. Once they looked at him providing a pleasing resolution, he acknowledged their service and rewarded them.

The video opened by showing a confused waiter after the YouTuber paid him currency notes seconds after complaining about food.

Steven and his friend pointed out the pancakes brought to their table were bad. The waiter seemed concerned and offered assistance. He told them he will share the feedback about the dish with the manager and/or could remake the pancakes for him. Hearing this, the YouTuber was impressed with the customer service. He immediately pulled out notes from his pant pocket and handed it over to the staffer, leaving him baffled and happy. Before he exited, he clarified the food was fine and the tip was for real.

The incident repeated at multiple outlets.

The prank video was posted on YouTube earlier this month. It was captioned, “Complaining About My Food, Then Tipping $500”. This footage has gone viral on the internet and already attracted 1.4 lakh views on the content-sharing platform.
