South Korea: A major incident has come to light due to the Air Force mistake in South Korea. On Thursday, eight bombs from a fighter aircraft (KF-16) accidentally fell near the North Korean border during the Air Force training exercise. 15 people were injured. The Air Force reported the accident. Although it was not reported where the accident happened, the South Korean media said the accident occurred in the city of Pochion near the North Korean border.

All bombs fell outside the firing range.

According to the Air Force, the incident occurred when inadvertently eight MK-16 bombs fell from the KF-82 fighter aircraft. All bombs fell outside the prescribed firing range. Fortunately, only a few citizens were injured and no major tragedy happened. The Air Force clarified that it was a human or technical error and its investigation has been started.

 

Compensation and other necessary measures will be taken for the victims.

The Air Force said in a statement, “The MK-82 bomb firing by the KF-16 fighter aircraft fell unusually unusual, causing citizens to death.” A committee will be formed to investigate the cause of this accident and assess the damage. The fighter aircraft is participating in joint exercises with the Air Force. The Air Force apologized for the damage done to the citizens and wished the injured to recover early. He said that he would compensate the victims and take other necessary steps.
