Kedarnath Dham: The Rs 4081 crore Kedarnath ropeway project has been approved by the cabinet today. Along with this, the livestock health program has also been approved. With this approval, efforts to start the Kedarnath Ropeway project, one of the dream projects of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have intensified. The total cost of this project is Rs 4081.28 crore. This ropeway project is 12.9 km long from Son Prayag to Kedarnath. With this ropeway, 1800 people will be able to move in every direction per hour. Once this is complete, the climb of 16 km from Gaurikund to Kedarnath can be completed in only 30 minutes. It will be able to carry 18,000 people per day.

The project will prove to be a boon for pilgrims coming to Kedarnath. This will provide acute, environmentally friendly and comfortable connectivity. This will reduce the travel time from 8-9 hours to only 36 minutes and a large number of people will get employment. Every year millions of devotees arrive to see Baba Kedar, but a difficult climb of 16 kilometers becomes a big challenge for him. After the ropeway, this journey can be completed in just 36 minutes. This will also facilitate the travel to the elderly, children and the disabled.
