Attack on Chandrashekhar Azad: The convoy of Azad Samaj Party President and Lok Sabha MP Chandrashekhar Azad from Nagina has been attacked in Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar. The incident took place during a public meeting on Tuesday. Chandrashekhar Azad claimed that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists attacked.
According to the information received, a mob of about 250 people pelted stones at the venue and attacked party workers. During this time dozens of vehicles were also damaged. Chandrashekhar Azad himself has informed about this attack on his social media platform ex handle. He alleged that the attack was organized in an organized manner and its purpose was to suppress the voice of democracy and social justice.
Azad made serious allegations against the Sangh Parivar
Chandrashekhar Azad held the Sangh Parivar responsible for the incident and said that ‘such organizations have open patronage of the government’. He has demanded the arrest of the convicts of the attack and strict legal action against them. Along with this, he also said, “This attack is an attempt to suppress every voice raised for the Bahujan movement, Dalit-backward society and constitutional rights.”

Chandrashekhar Azad said, “We will not be afraid of such incidents and our struggle to protect democracy will continue.” He held a meeting with Bhima Army and Azad Samaj Party workers in Bhubaneswar and pledged to work to strengthen the party in Odisha.
