Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Plans are afoot to change the collectors of three major cities in the state: Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur.

A list of officers, to be shifted in the next administrative reshuffle, will soon be released.

In the likely reshuffle, the government may transfer some field officers; and the list is likely to be issued after the assembly session. The collectors of these three cities are of 2010-batch IAS officers. Because they have been collectors in different district for a long time, the government wants to appoint new officers as collectors.

This is the reason why the government is mulling over transferring these officers. The 2010-batch officers will be elevated to the post of secretary next year, and before this happens, the government may send these three officers to other departments. Apart from them, the government may also transfer officers in a few other districts.

The collectors of some districts, who are not on good terms with BJP leaders, may be shifted. Similarly, the districts of some collectors may be changed. The government may also transfer some HoD-level officers. Besides, the government may make some administrative changes in Ujjain, keeping in mind Simhastha. Commissioner of Ujjain, Sanjay Gupta, is retiring this year. The collector may also be transferred to another place.

Some officers in Mantralaya may be shifted. The officers, whose relationship with the ministers of their respective departments has soured, may also be transferred.
