Before the 2025 assembly elections in Bihar, the Union Minister and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has put a stop over the speculation about the post of Chief Minister in the NDA (National Democratic Alliance). He made it clear that the assembly elections in Bihar will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
Elections will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar – Khattar
Manohar Lal Khattar made this statement during the meeting of BJP’s State Council in Patna. In this meeting, BJP executive president Dilip Jaiswal was formally elected as the State BJP President for three years. Khattar was appointed as an observer for this meeting.
He asked the party workers to be fully prepared for the election and claimed that the NDA would once again form the government.

NDA colleagues support Nitish on confusion
Last week, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal had said that NDA would contest elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, but the Chief Minister will decide the BJP’s Parliamentary Board after the election. After this statement, confusion arose among the NDA allies.
However, other NDA leaders immediately reacted and supported Nitish Kumar for the post of Chief Minister.
Jitan Ram Manjhi, Chirag Paswan and Upendra Kushwaha support
- Union Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Hum) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi supported Nitish Kumar as the Chief Ministerial candidate. He said at a Dalit Samagam in Patna that NDA will win more than 225 seats out of 243 under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
- Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha also supported Nitish Kumar as the NDA Chief Minister’s face.
Dilip Jaiswal clarified the statement
After this rhetoric at NDA, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal gave an explanation. He said that the media incorrectly presented his statement.
“When I said that the election would be fought under the leadership of NDA leader Nitish Kumar, it was clear that he is a candidate for our Chief Minister. We will form the government with an overwhelming majority under ‘Mission 2025’. ”
Changes in BJP organization before Bihar elections
The BJP has changed leadership in Bihar. Dilip Jaiswal was appointed as the new state president, who will work to strengthen the organization before the assembly elections to be held in October-November.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nityanand Rai said that Bihar has got an experienced, simple and hardworking president, which will help the NDA to get an overwhelming majority in 2025.
