Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday discussed the economic impact of Mahakumbh during a discussion on the budget in the assembly. He informed that Uttar Pradesh has received revenue of three lakh crore rupees from the Mahakumbh 2025 organizing. CM Yogi also introduced a detailed details of earnings in different areas. Along with this, he shared the inspirational success story of a sailor family of Prayagraj, which saved Rs 30 crore during the Mahakumbh.

Sailor family earned 30 crores in 45 days

CM Yogi said that a sailor family of Prayagraj has 130 boats, and each boat earned an average of Rs 23 lakh. If we talk about the income of the day, then a boat earned 50 to 52 thousand rupees. Thus, the total earnings of the entire family reached Rs 30 crore in 45 days.

Target on SP

While narrating this success story, CM Yogi also targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP). He said that the SP always made noise that the sailors are being exploited and they are not being allowed to earn. But the reality is completely different from this. During the Mahakumbh, the sailors made unprecedented money, showing that the event also benefited the local trade.

CM Yogi said that he reached Prayagraj at the conclusion of Mahakumbh on 27 February. He first worshiped Maa Ganga and then interacted with the sailors. During this time a special package was also announced for him. The Chief Minister said that Mahakumbh has left an indelible mark of India’s cultural heritage and economic development, which was appreciated by the whole world. The event was a fire test for the central and state government, in which he was completely successful.
