SP party leader and MLA Abu Azmi from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar assembly seat in Maharashtra called Aurangzeb great, after which political heat has increased significantly. His statement is being criticized by political personalities. As a result, now Abu Azmi has withdrawn his statement by tweeting. He said that this statement has been distorted.

Abu Azmi withdrew the statement

He wrote that my words have been distorted. I have said the same thing as historians and writers have said about Aurangzeb (Allah feeling on it). I have not made any derogatory remarks about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji Maharaj or any other great man, but still if someone has hurt someone from my words, then I withdraw my words, my statement. The matter is being made a political issue and I feel that the people of Maharashtra are suffering due to the closure of the budget session of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Eknath Shinde demanded apology

So at the same time, Shinde also said that Abu Azmi should apologize. He also demanded that he be prosecuted for treason. He said that Abu Azmi’s statement is unacceptable and condemnable. It is a sin to call Aurangzeb a good administrator. This is the same Aurangzeb who harassed Sambhaji Maharaj for 40 days. Abu Azmi apologized. Our Chief Minister has also taken it very seriously. I believe that Azmi should be accused of treason to insult national heroes. Those who speak against national heroes should be called anti -national.

BJP also attacked

BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said that it is a great insult to Indian society that Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi and Congress party leader Rashid Alvi are praising Aurangzeb, one of the most cruel and tyrannical rulers. This proves that these people are ready to go to any extent to completely destroy Hinduism. This shows how much these people hate Indian culture and Indian tradition.
