There have been many railway accidents in India for some time. A train derailed in Balasore, Odisha. But there were no casualties in this accident. South Eastern Railway said that on 22 February, train number 22861 New Jalpaiguri-Chennai Central Express derailed. However, the Railways has denied that the train was stopped due to technical problem. A large tragedy took place in Balasore in the year 2023. In which 296 people died. And 1200 people were injured.

A train derailed.

Nabling the train is like inviting a major accident. If the speed of the railway is high then there is more damage, and if the speed is low then there is less damage. If the train gets derailed and the speed of the train is between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour. So even after derailing it, it can move from at least 100 to 200 meters. Whereas if the speed of the train is 100 kilometers per hour or more. So in such a situation the train can go to 500 meters or more distance.

it’s depend.

How far will the train go after derailing? It also depends on the ground surface of the site that the ground below is hard, concrete or dense soil. Therefore, the train is likely to stop early. Whereas if the soil is loose, it is sand, mud or wet soil. Then the train will be able to go further.

How much damage can be caused?

If a train derailed, there may be heavy loss of life and property. If the speed of the train is high then the safety of passengers will be in danger. If the train overturns, the accident can be more frightening and people can also die. Apart from this, the property of the railway has also been damaged. The train cans and engine have suffered heavy damage. It costs a lot of repair. Where a train overturns, the operation of the train is affected. Due to which the routes of many trains have to be changed. This can also cause loss of millions of crores.
