Team India seamer Mohammed Shami dropped a tough catch off Travis Head when the Australian opener was on duck in the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final on Tuesday at the Dubai International Stadium. A video of the same surfaced on social media as Shami got the fingertips on the ball and it went away from him.

The dismissal occurred in the very first over of the innings as the 34-year-old’s ball slid onto to his leg side. However, the ball stuck on the pitch as Head tried to play it on the on-side and all he managed was a leading edge. Although the Bengal seamer stretched his hand, the ball could not stick.

Below is the video of the same:

Nevertheless, Shami eventually dismissed Cooper Connolly for a nine-ball duck as the spin-bowling all-rounder nicked one to KL Rahul behind the stumps as the keeper took a low catch.
