They are seen celebrating and dancing to the popular song ‘Tu lagawelu jab lipistick’ at the ‘Maha Kumbh 2025 Sampann Samaroh’ that was arranged at Jhusi, Prayagraj. A celebration is what these personnel’s deserve after dedicatedly being on duty and working extra hours to make sure pilgrim’s safety at the Maha Kumbh.

The once in 144 rare event, Maha Kumbh 2025, concluded on February 26 after which the holy city of Prayagraj seems to be working towards cleansing the after crores of devotees visited the city in the last few weeks. Managing such a massive congregation required meticulous planning and flawless execution by the Uttar Pradesh Police. The force played a crucial role in ensuring safety, managing crowds, and maintaining law and order throughout the event.
How did RPF prepare for the largest gathering?
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) played a critical role in maintaining security at railway stations and onboard trains during the Maha Kumbh 2025. With millions of devotees arriving and departing through the railway network, ensuring passenger safety, managing crowds, and preventing criminal activities were top priorities.
To control the massive influx of pilgrims, RPF personnel were stationed at key railway stations, platforms, and entry-exit points. Special crowd management protocols were implemented to prevent stampedes, while additional security forces were deployed to regulate boarding and deboarding processes efficiently.
In addition to security duties, RPF personnel provided assistance to lost or stranded passengers, ensuring they reached their destinations safely.
