Electric vehicle manufacturer Ola Electric Mobility has decided to expel more than 1000 employees and contract workers. According to a report by Bloomberg, the step has been taken with the aim of reducing the company’s increasing deficit and controlling operating costs.

According to sources, the pruning in Ola Electric is being done in several major departments, including procurement, full fame, customer relationships and charging infrastructure. This company, which is under the leadership of Bhavish Aggarwal, is facing many economic challenges, which has made this retrenchment step.

Sorting shock for the second time in 5 months

This trimming in March 2024 is the second time in the last 5 months when the company has reduced the number of employees on a large scale.

In November 2024, Ola Electrics trimmed 500 employees.
