SGPC has taken cognizance of beating of Sikh brothers in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. He has condemned this attack. SGPC President Giani Raghbir Singh said that the attack on the turban and hair of Sikh brothers by angry mob on a minor dispute is very embarrassing for the country’s democracy. He has demanded strict action against the culprits.
The SGPC president said that it does not seem to have any parking dispute. We appeal to the Uttarakhand government to identify the culprits and arrest them immediately. He has written a letter to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami demanding early and strict action against the culprits.
Not only this, MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has also condemned the attack on Sikh brothers. He said that the attack on Sikh brothers is very worrying. Insulting the turban and hair is a violation of dignity. The government should take strict action against the culprits and ensure the security of the Sikh community in the state. He said that such incidents can harm national unity.
